Why You Need Tube Adapter/Insert?

Tube adapters and inserts act as the essential structural “anchors” used to convert plain, hollow tubing into functional, threaded linkage arms. They provide the necessary solid material base to securely accept rod ends and other threaded hardware into thin-walled structural members.

Create a Secure Threaded Interface

Since structural tubing walls are too thin to tap directly, these inserts provide the necessary precision internal threads to transform a raw tube into a component ready for assembly hardware.

Engineered with substantial wall thickness, they offer deep thread engagement to withstand massive axial tension and compression loads without stripping out under stress.

They are the fundamental building blocks for fabricators creating custom-length control arms and steering links, requiring only simple welding to become an integral part of the tube.

By installing adapters with opposing thread directions (Left-Hand and Right-Hand) on either end of a tube, they allow for easy on-vehicle length tuning without disconnecting the linkage.

Once welded into the tube end (often with additional plug welds for redundancy), they ensure a continuous, rigid load path from the rod end through to the main tube body.

FAQs

Q1: What tube wall thickness are these inserts designed for?

We offer standard sizes for common wall thicknesses such as .120″, .188″, and .250″, compatible with most DOM and chromoly tubing.

If you’re welding into chromoly tubing, choose 4130 and TIG-weld it. For regular DOM tubes, standard mild-steel inserts are more than sufficient.

To prevent thread distortion, we recommend threading in an old rod end or bolt during welding to act as a heat sink.

Yes. All sizes are available in both left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) threads, allowing you to build fully adjustable suspension links.

Our inserts are designed with optimal insertion depth to maximize weld surface area, ensuring superior strength once assembled.

We accept T/T, PayPal (for samples), and L/C for large orders. For new customers, 30% deposit and 70% before shipment is standard.
