MPM MPF Product Overview
MPFR8 / MPFL8 is a metric self-lubricating female rod end with a 8 mm bore (B) and 24 mm body housing diameter (D). The 15.90 mm 52100 steel ball is precision ground, heat treated, and hard chrome plated, running in an injection-molded reinforced nylon race with PTFE for maintenance-free operation. Female body length (AF) is 42 mm, thread engagement (CF) is 25 mm, body width (W) is 12 mm, body thickness (T) is 9.0 mm. Approximate weight: 43 g.
Rated at 9,500 N static radial load with ±13° misalignment angle, this M8 X 1.25 internally threaded female rod end suits general industrial machinery, packaging equipment, and maintenance-free linkage systems. The female body threads onto a mating stud or tube adapter. Reinforced nylon+PTFE race provides self-lubricating, maintenance-free articulation. Carbon steel body with yellow zinc plating.
Available in right-hand (MPFR8) and left-hand (MPFL8) metric thread configurations. Studded version (add ‘S’ suffix) also available. Alternate thread pitch variants available on request. Silver zinc plating option available; inch-thread equivalent is the PF series.

MPM MPF Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between MPM and MPF rod ends?
MPM parts are male-thread rod ends and MPF parts are female-thread rod ends. Both belong to the same precision molded-race self-lubricating metric series and share the same core material direction.
What materials are used in the MPM-MPF series?
This series uses a hard-chrome-plated 52100 bearing steel ball, an injection molded reinforced nylon race with PTFE, and a carbon steel body with yellow zinc plating.
Is the MPM-MPF series self-lubricating?
Yes. The molded nylon race provides self-lubricating operation, which is one of the defining characteristics of the MPM-MPF series.
Are studded versions available in the MPM-MPF series?
Yes. Studded configurations are available by adding S to the suffix, such as MPMR12S, depending on the exact size and build requirement.
Are silver zinc plated versions available?
Yes. In addition to the standard yellow zinc plated body, this series is also available in silver zinc plating as noted in the product notes.
What applications are best suited to MPM-MPF rod ends?
MPM-MPF rod ends are well suited to control linkages, packaging machinery, agricultural equipment, general mechanical assemblies, and other lighter-duty systems that benefit from a self-lubricating molded-race design.
