B 0.4375 / D 0.9062COM7T-SS Spherical Bearing (Inch)
COM SS Product Overview
COM7T-SS is a PTFE-lined stainless steel spherical bearing with a 0.4375″ bore (B) and 0.9062″ OD (D). Body width (W) = 0.437″, inner race width (T) = 0.343″. Ball diameter = 0.687″. Flat OD (O) = 0.530″. Approximate weight: 0.05 lb.
Rated at 14,900 lb static radial load with ±8.0° misalignment angle. The 440C stainless steel ball is precision ground, heat treated, and hard chrome plated. The race is stainless steel (420SS standard; 304SS, 316SS, 17-4SS available), heat treated and PTFE (Teflon) lined for self-lubricating, maintenance-free operation. Suited to food processing, pharmaceutical, marine, and chemical environments where both corrosion resistance and self-lubrication are required.
Race material options: 420SS (standard), 304SS, 316SS, 17-4SS. Carbon steel / chromoly equivalent is the COM(-T) series. All stainless construction provides superior corrosion resistance compared to single-component SS upgrades.

COM SS Frequently Asked Questions
What is COM-SS used for?
COM-SS is used in articulated joints and spherical-bearing positions where stainless construction, PTFE-lined movement, and corrosion resistance are preferred.
What makes COM-SS different from standard COM series bearings?
COM-SS uses heat-treated stainless steel components with PTFE-lined construction, making it better suited to corrosive environments and low-maintenance bearing applications.
Does COM-SS use a PTFE liner?
Yes. COM-SS is supplied as a PTFE-lined spherical bearing, combining corrosion-resistant stainless components with low-friction lined articulation.
What materials are used in COM-SS spherical bearings?
COM-SS uses a 440C stainless steel ball, heat treated and precision ground with hard chrome plating, together with a heat-treated stainless steel race and PTFE-lined construction.
Are other stainless race materials available?
Yes. Optional race materials can include 420SS, 304SS, 316SS, and 17-4SS depending on the application requirement.
How do I choose the right COM-SS size?
Start with the required bore, outer diameter, width, ball size, and radial load shown in the size chart, then confirm that stainless PTFE-lined construction fits the environment and duty cycle.
