3/4-16CR8-12 CL8-12 Clevis
CLEVIS CR CL Product Overview
CR8-12 / CL8-12 is a carbon steel clevis with 0.5″ pin bore (B) and 3/4-16 male thread. Pin bore OD housing (D) = 1.125″, width (W) = 0.825″, slot width (S) = 0.25″. Total length (A) = 3.375″, fork length (C) = 2.0″.
The CR/CL clevis is zinc plated carbon steel machined to accept a standard clevis pin through the fork. The threaded shank connects to a rod end, tube adapter, or threaded rod. Used in steering linkages, throttle controls, brake assemblies, and general-purpose pivot connections requiring a bifurcated end fitting.
Available in right-hand (CR8-12) and left-hand (CL8-12) thread configurations. Stainless steel option available. Polished and hard chrome plating available on request. Works with clevis pins, washers, and cotter pins (sold separately).

Every Unit Inspected Before Shipment
Raw Material Inspection
Material certifications verified. Composition confirmed by spectrometer before machining begins.
Thread Gauge Inspection
100% go/no-go gauge check on all threaded sections. Zero tolerance on dimensional non-conformance.
Load Capacity Test
Static and dynamic load tests run on representative samples from each production batch.
Dimensional Measurement
CMM verification of critical dimensions — ball diameter, bore, thread pitch, and body length.
Surface Inspection
Visual and tactile inspection for burrs, scratches, surface cracks, and plating defects.
Articulation Test
Misalignment angle and torque measured to confirm liner performance meets specification.

CLEVIS CR CL Frequently Asked Questions
What are CR/CL clevises used for?
CR and CL clevises are used in linkage, steering, suspension, and fabricated mechanical assemblies where a forked threaded connector is required.
What material is standard?
The standard material is carbon steel with zinc plating. Stainless steel is optional for applications that need additional corrosion resistance.
What is the difference between CR and CL?
CR identifies the right-hand part number and CL identifies the corresponding left-hand part number for the same clevis size family.
How do I choose the correct clevis?
Select by thread size first, then confirm bore diameter, clevis body diameter, width, and overall package lengths required by the assembly.
Can stainless steel versions be supplied?
Yes. Stainless steel is optional and can be specified based on the application requirement.
Are left-hand versions available?
Yes. Left-hand versions are available and are listed alongside the right-hand part numbers in the size chart.
