REBUILDABLE FLEX JOINT Product Overview
SYZ-F005 is a rebuildable flex joint with 2-5/8″ mounting width, 9/16″ bolt diameter, and 1 1/4″-12 × 3.5″ thread length. Housing OD = 2.68″. Bushing material: Delrin.
The SYZ flex joint uses a 4130 heat-treated chromoly steel housing, a chromoly hard-chrome-plated ball, and a Delrin bushing. The rebuildable design allows the bushing to be replaced when worn, extending service life in heavy-pivot applications such as 4-link suspension, panhard bars, and chassis-to-axle connections. Both right-hand and left-hand thread configurations are available.
Replacement bushings available separately. Custom housing sizes available on request. Polyurethane bushing provides good vibration damping; Delrin (acetal) bushing offers lower friction and tighter tolerance. Weldable sleeve configuration also available.

REBUILDABLE FLEX JOINT Frequently Asked Questions
What is a rebuildable flex joint used for?
A rebuildable flex joint is used in suspension and articulated linkage assemblies where high-load movement and serviceable internals are required.
What materials are used in the housing and ball?
The housing uses heat treated 4130 chromoly steel with zinc plating, and the ball uses hard chrome plated 4130 chromoly steel.
Which bushing materials are available?
This series uses polyurethane or Delrin bushings depending on the intended compliance, wear behavior, and application setup.
What does the threaded spanner nut design do?
The threaded spanner nut design supports rebuildable service and controlled retention of the internal joint assembly on selected parts.
Which dimensions matter most for fitment?
Mounting width, bolt diameter, thread size, thread length, housing O.D., and the internal bushing configuration are the key fitment points.
Can SYZ support custom sizes or RH/LH options?
Yes. SYZ can review custom sizes and RH/LH thread requirements for OEM and fabrication programs.
