- Ball Stud: Carbon steel 1045 for stable stud articulation under compact linkage loads.
- Shell: Carbon steel 1020 with a stainless spring for quick disconnect operation.
- Surface: Silver or yellow zinc plated for practical corrosion resistance in OEM and replacement service.
