UNIBALL CUPS Product Overview
UBC24 is a 4130 chromoly uniball cup with 2.7500″ bore (B), 3.500″ OD (D), and 1.625″ width (W). Fits bearings: HCOM24. Includes snap ring retainer.
The UBC uniball cup is machined from 4130 chromoly steel and accepts a standard COM or WPB spherical bearing, retained by a snap ring. Weld or press the cup into a tube end or housing bore, then insert the spherical bearing to create a compact, pivoting end joint. Used in suspension link ends, panhard bars, sway bar links, and custom pivot assemblies where a welded uniball end is preferable to a threaded rod end.
Snap ring included. Mild steel cup available on request. Compatible with: HCOM24 spherical bearings. FKS series chromoly bearings also compatible in matching bore sizes.

Every Unit Inspected Before Shipment
Raw Material Inspection
Material certifications verified. Composition confirmed by spectrometer before machining begins.
Thread Gauge Inspection
100% go/no-go gauge check on all threaded sections. Zero tolerance on dimensional non-conformance.
Load Capacity Test
Static and dynamic load tests run on representative samples from each production batch.
Dimensional Measurement
CMM verification of critical dimensions — ball diameter, bore, thread pitch, and body length.
Surface Inspection
Visual and tactile inspection for burrs, scratches, surface cracks, and plating defects.
Articulation Test
Misalignment angle and torque measured to confirm liner performance meets specification.
Heat Treatment Verify
Hardness tests confirm proper heat treatment on chromoly steel bodies and bearing balls.

UNIBALL CUPS Frequently Asked Questions
What is a uniball cup used for?
A uniball cup is a weld-in housing used to retain a spherical bearing with a snap ring retainer.
What material is standard for the UBC series?
Standard construction uses 4130 chromoly steel, with mild steel available as an option.
Why are B and D the first fitment checks?
They determine the bearing seat and housing size needed for the spherical bearing package.
What does the snap ring do?
The snap ring retains the spherical bearing in the cup and allows serviceable replacement.
Are special sizes available?
Yes. Special sizes are available in volume for custom fabrication and OEM production.
How do I choose the correct uniball cup?
Start with B and D, then confirm W, fit bearing family, and snap ring part number for the intended assembly.
