ROD END SPACERS SCNS / CNS Product Overview
SCNS8 / CNS8 is a 1/2″ bore cone spacer. OD (A) = 0.592″, cone depth (C) = 0.1″, outer flange OD (D) = 0.875″, flange width (E) = 0.375″. Cone angle: 28°.
SCNS (stainless steel) and CNS (zinc plated carbon steel) cone spacers are used with rod ends and spherical bearings to provide a tapered seating for pins or bolts passing through clevis-mounted assemblies. The conical face distributes load and allows slight angular misalignment between the pin and the bearing race. Used in steering, suspension, and linkage applications where clevis pins are employed.
Stainless: SCNS8. Carbon steel (zinc plated): CNS8. Standard flat spacers also available in the SCW/CW series. Sold individually; install in pairs for symmetrical assemblies.

ROD END SPACERS SCNS / CNS Frequently Asked Questions
What are SCNS and CNS cone spacers used for?
They are used with rod ends and spherical bearings to control installed width and increase articulation through cone spacer geometry.
What is the difference between SCNS and CNS material options?
SCNS uses stainless steel, while CNS uses zinc plated carbon steel for a more standard plated hardware option.
Why are B and C the first dimensions to compare?
B and C are the primary fitment dimensions used to match the spacer to the joint package and mounting hardware.
What do A, D, E, and Q angle affect?
Those dimensions define cone profile, installed geometry, and the resulting articulation or clearance in the finished assembly.
Can these spacers be used with spherical bearings as well as rod ends?
Yes. These cone spacers are commonly used with both rod ends and spherical bearings where articulation and stack-up need adjustment.
Can SYZ support custom spacer dimensions or material requests?
Yes. SYZ can review custom dimensions, alternate materials, and application-specific spacer requirements for OEM programs.
